$MYCEL is the Fungai Art token. Members call them Hyphae — the connecting threads that carry nutrients through the network. They are earned through contribution (sporing) and spent on goods and ceremonies (drawing). Voice and voting power live in a separate, soulbound reputation called mycoTrust — so holding Hyphae never becomes about accumulation.

Holding Hyphae does not give you voting power. mycoTrust does — and it cannot be bought, only earned through ongoing relational depth. It decays without participation, just as mycelial connections wither without flow.

A patron supplies resources to The Mycelium — material, financial or relational — in exchange for extracts, ceremonies, and a long-term place in the network. Patronage is not investment. There is no expectation of profit. Patrons receive real goods of real value over a real timeline.
A pre-paid subscription to Fungai Art extracts and experiences over 24 months. You receive Hyphae ($MYCEL utility tokens) which you draw down for goods. After 24 months you may request a refund of any unused balance, denominated in EUR at the rate at the time of refund.
An investment. There is no expected return beyond the goods and experiences delivered. Hyphae are not securities. The Mycelium does not promise capital appreciation, dividends, or any financial return. Refunds restore unused balance only — not interest, not appreciation.

Why patronage, not investment. Fungai Art is an art and herbal practice, not a startup. We don’t want venture capital, equity dilution, or pressure to scale to where it kills the quality. Patronage is the ancient way artists and apothecaries were funded — a circle of supporters who trust the work and want it to continue. You receive real goods, real teaching, real time. The contribution is fair on both sides.
Every Hypha sporeed, drawn and gifted is recorded on Polygon — transparent, immutable, public. The chain itself is the receipt; this is a human-readable view of the same data anyone can read on Polygonscan.
Figures appear once the contract is deployed. Until then the ledger is intentionally empty rather than illustrative — a number here would be a claim we cannot yet evidence.
